SPW volunteers came together to address the long-standing issue of clutter in the Public Works storage unit. This storage area had accumulated various items over time, making it increasingly difficult to locate holiday decorations and equipment when needed. SPW volunteers rolled up their sleeves and got to work, tackling the disarray head-on. Their efforts were not only focused on clearing out space but also on ensuring that any items that could benefit the community were properly sorted and repurposed.

Through their hard work, the team successfully filled half of a large dumpster with items that were no longer needed or usable. This significant achievement not only helped declutter the space but also contributed to a more organized environment for future use. In addition to the dumpster load, the volunteers transported two SUV loads filled with various items to Lori Fanning’s house, where they were donated to the Share the Warmth Drive.

Eleven storage boxes were filled with decorations and supplies. Each box was labeled to facilitate easy access in the future. Additionally, three Christmas trees were bagged and labeled. These efforts will ensure that items in the SPW section of the Public Works storage unit will be easily accessible, paving the way for a more efficient operation moving forward.

The morning was highly successful; the storage unit is now tidier and better organized. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our organizer, Becky Kassner, as well as our volunteers: Nancy Williams, Suzy Bettac, Janet Mirza, Sandy Cooley, Shelia Allen, and Gay Miller.
