Shavano Park Women hosted Raptors Uncorked, a fundraising event, at Paesanos on April 12th, providing attendees a unique wildlife celebration. During a raptor show, participants had the opportunity to get up close and personal with live birds of prey and learn about them. The program featured a kookaburra, a falcon, an owl, and ravens.

Victor Lawrence from Sky Kings Falconry captivated the audience with tales about the unique traits and skills of the birds. We also learned a bit of the history of falconry and heard some of Victor's intriguing personal anecdotes about living with birds of prey in his home. However, the event wasn't solely focused on birds; there was ample time to catch up with friends and neighbors.

Everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The looks of happiness and excitement on the attendees' faces in the photos speak volumes.

The Board of Shavano Park Women extends our sincere thanks to those who attended Raptors Uncorked. Your presence at this event contributed significantly to its success, and we are truly grateful for your participation. Proceeds from Raptors Uncorked will be allocated to projects aimed at supporting and improving our community.
