2025 SPW Holiday Party

During this year's SPW Holiday Party, we paused to look back on the year's events and celebrate our successes. It was also a great chance to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones. Instead of cooking, we enjoyed a catered Italian feast from Naples Restaurant.

In an expression of gratitude to our hosts, we collected over $800 in donations for the St. Francis of Assisi Mobile Loaves and Fishes Ministry, a charity that holds a special place in their hearts. Dick and Diane will add to our contributions to bring the total donation to Mobile Loaves and Fishes to $1,000.

Building on our tradition of singing carols, Harriet and David Pinansky lead us in singing "Ocho Kandelikas," a Ladino song celebrating Hanukkah. Raul Salas and Mike Day followed with a couple of additional carols. The SPW Holiday Party consistently provides a lovely end to another year of activities for Shavano Park Women.

We would like to express our deepest thanks to Dick and Diane Gomez for kindly welcoming us into their beautiful home! An additional huge thank you goes out to the event committee and everyone who pitched in to make this evening special, including Sandy Cooley, Clara Gamez, Elsa Jasso, Connie Weber, Mary Young, and Kathy Schwesinger. Lastly, we want to acknowledge the dedication of our committee chairwoman, Glenda Bibb. Glenda, we couldn't do it without you. We truly appreciate the effort you invested in making the evening unforgettable for all of us! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who worked to make this evening special!
