Shavano Park Women hosted a Valentine's Day themed Employee Appreciation Luncheon for all City of Shavano Park employees. Our members hosted a pot luck luncheon for all city employees, the mayor, and city council. We are so thankful for our city staff, firemen, EMT, police, public works and water department who make Shavano Park the city that we love. We celebrated you with this luncheon but we appreciate your hard work and dedication every day.
SPW President, DeAnna Guerrero, welcomed everyone and then our City Manager, Bill Hill, offered a prayer of thanks for the bountiful food, our employees and those who had prepared it.
We had a fabulous spread of homemade dishes and sweet treats for all to enjoy. As a special surprise, we placed thank you notes from our residents addressed to the various city departments on the tables for everyone to read. There was a lot of conversation, getting to know new employees and catching up with our favorite long time employees. SPW and the rest of the city truly appreciates what each of you do for our community! You have our most sincere gratitude.
A special thanks to our Vice President, Suzy Bettac for setting up this event, and to Donna Beladi for the Valentine's Day decorations and finally to our members for bringing their special dishes to share.
