Volunteer to Assist with Shavano Park's 2025 Independence Day Celebration

Please sign up for a 1 hour slot to help make our city's Independence Day Celebration a success. Volunteers do not need to be members of SPW; spouses and neighbors are encouraged to volunteer. This is always a fun event for our families.

About the event
We are looking for volunteers to help with the following:
SPW Booth – 2-4 people for 1 hour time slots where we will hand out poppers, copies of the U.S. Constitution, and manage the Give Us Your John Hancock activity
Parade Registration - 2 people from 9:30-10:30 to sit outside under a canopy helping to collect participant names and assign a contestant number
Dessert Contest Registration - 2 people from 9:30-10:15. This is an inside activity where you will collect dessert entries, get contestant names and a recipe for the entry, assign a contestant number, and place the dessert on a table
Dessert Contest Cutting/Prepping - 2-3 people from 10:00-11:00. This is an inside activity where you will cut cakes and bars placing them on individual plates for serving. Please note - you may miss the parade with this activity
Serving Contest Desserts - 2-3 people from 11:00-12:00 to help…
