More than 6 million people have learned how to STOP THE BLEED® — and now you can, too! This 90-minute course, hosted by the Shavano Park Police Department and taught by Assistant Chief Dennis Kelley, includes both a lecture and hands-on training. 2 sessions will be held on August 7: 10:00 & 1:00.

About the event
By the end of the class, participants will be able to recognize life-threatening bleeding and effectively apply a tourniquet and hemostatic dressing to slow or stop the bleeding.
Note: This course is available by invitation only but is open to all residents of Shavano Park.
To sign up, go to https://training.stopthebleedcoalition.org/. Select "Sign Up" on the left menu bar and create a profile. It only asks for a username, first/last name, email, and a desired password. After creating an account, the member should go to "Find A Class" on the left menu bar. Type in "Shavano Park" in the search box, and both courses will be listed. The member will select the class time they prefer and click "Enroll." The access code for each is as follows:
