• When seconds count, knowing life saving techniques can save lives, maybe your own!
• According to the American Heart Association, 80% of cardiac arrests happen at home. Every minute that passes without CPR, the victim’s chance of survival decreases between seven and ten percent. Knowing CPR can help you save your loved one when you are able to perform CPR as quickly as possible.
• Each year, 80,000 people in the U.S. have a stroke.  It is the fourth leading cause of death in the United States and causes more serious long-term disabilities than any other disease. During a stroke, every minute counts! Fast treatment can lessen the brain damage that stroke can cause. By knowing the signs and symptoms of stroke, you can take quick action and perhaps save a life—maybe even your own!
• Chief Dover will conduct a basic course on CPR and Stroke Recognition and Actions to Take.
